Once your child is ready to move on, they will begin their transition into our tweenie unit. Regular short visits along with their key person will be planned as they begin to get used to their new surroundings.

Once settled into the Tweenie unit, Rachel and her experienced team will guide your child, with your continued support and input, in their continued development. The activities that they’re involved in will begin to incorporate all 7 areas of learning and development, as they 3 prime areas are expanded to support the development of the 4 specific areas -

  • Literacy
  • Mathematics
  • Understanding the world
  • Expressive arts and design

Your child’s key person will use all of the information passed on to them, both verbally from the baby unit and through all of their observations and reports, to continue to support development. This expanded development framework is similar to curriculums followed in primary schools, but is more flexible to take account of individual needs and interests. You’ll continue to receive regular updates and reports showing you what your child has been getting up to and tracking their progress; again you are always welcome to add your own observations to help your child’s key person align their activities with yours.
